Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Unike more traditional martial arts like Karate and Taekwondo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling art that focuses on ground techniques and throwing techniques. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu allows smaller individuals to control bigger opponents with effective techniques that rely on leverage rather than strength. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a continuously evolving martial art, however; it has developed over time from earlier martial arts in Japan. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is heavily used in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competitions and is also fun, exciting, and great for both fitness and self-defense.
